"Hold still!" I commanded. "Look, I have the ability to heal, it's not really refined so it won't be a full recovery, so you HAVE to hold still so you can at least recover enough to survive."
"Why would you have healing powers?"
"Just because I'm a Dark Minion doesn't mean I don't know anything but fighting!" I hissed at him. "If you don't want my help, then you can die here! In fact you'll be great target practice with my new weapon!" I got up quickly to go get my sword. How dare he insult me like that! I willingly tried to help him!
"Wait!" I hear him trying to gather the strength to be loud. "I know how to get out of here!...This isn't a dream!"
I stopped. I turn to look at him. He looks serious. No, he's a White, I can't trust him. "Why should I believe you? Your way out is probably some trap so you can capture me. I may be young but I'm not naïve! I've read what you Whites do to us! You'll kill me as soon as we escape!"
"I'll lead you to your proper exit! I promise. I swear upon the First Guardian that I will lead you to where you're supposed to go."
The First Guardian? He's defiantly being sincere. I walk back towards him and kneel down by him.
"Just hold still." I said softly. I concentrated hard to get him better and I did the best that I could. The familiar feel that came rushing to my hand was relaxing and warm. I started to work on healing him. I could only stop the bleeding and heal it enough that he could walk.
"Thank you" he said to me with a smile on his face. "I'm very grateful." He started to get up but then I told him to do it slowly, and I used myself for leverage.
"Yeah yeah. I only did it because I didn't mean to kill yet."
"I'm sure. But you did a great job, even if it wasn't refined."
"You have my father to thank for that. Anyway, we have to get moving, you need a real doctor. So which way to get out of here?"
"Through the puddles."
"What?" I looked at him as if he were crazy.
"You're here because of a test right?" How does he know that? "The puddles have to do with it."
I look at him cautiously and then I walk slowly towards the two puddles. I slowly look back at him, eyes narrowed. How does he know about my test? Does he know who I am? How could he? He's not from my world anyway. Maybe he's been here for a VERY long time. I go and picked up my sword and immediately holstered it. I walk to the puddles and I look down into the purple one. I don't see nor hear anything. I turn my head slowly at him and narrow my eyes. He doesn't move or say anything, he's just standing there doing nothing, watching me. Creeper. I then walk to the green one.
Green sun. I could've sworn I saw that. Wait… I see the outline of what the priest was wearing. What's that noise? It's coming from my waist...it's a whisper. Last time I checked my waist didn't talk. Wait...is it my sword that's talking? I unsheathed it and placed it by my ears. I think it's saying "Green."
"It wants you to go into the green puddle, doesn't it?" This guy definantly has some explaining to do.
"How do you know so much?" I asked sternly. My eyes are narrowed on him. I don't trust him. "How is it that you know such much about what's going on?" I almost shouted. "Tell me!" I barked. I'm getting impatient! He's still just standing there.
It looks like he's trying to come up with some fake excuse.
"I'm also taking a test. I was just about to go to the next part when you arrived. I thought you were going to come and trap me in here." A likely story. "Look, we'll just continue on separately. You go through the purple and I'll take the green. We'll never see each other again."
"Why do I have to go through the purple one? I didn't see anything!" He looked confused, and I can sense it as well. It's the first thing I could sense from him.
"Really? You sure? Because I saw something.
"I didn't see anything. I only saw something in the green puddle. What did you see?"
"I think I should ask you the same thing." Stubborn White scum. A moment passed where neither of us said a word.
"Fine. I think I saw a green sun."
"The Green Sun? That has to do with why I'm here. Very strange."
He's still very confused about this whole situation. "Then what did you see?" I asked sincerely.
"Probably something having to deal with you. I saw a black silhouette head with thin white eyes." He's explaining what the priest was wearing…but I'm not sensing any confusion. Is he lying? He has to be. I have to act like I trust him.
"So. How do we move on?"
"We jump."
He took a little jump and went straight into the green puddle and he's gone. I walk up to the puddle. Should I do what my sword said or should I follow what he said. Of course if I follow him there's a chance that I'm gonna be stuck with him. I walk back to the purple puddle and I still see nothing. You know what? No! I'm not going to be bossed around by a White! How dare he try to command me where to go! This is my test! I'll make sure he knows who he is dealing with. I jump into the green puddle.
